Lately, I have been reading articles on the use of color to promote sales. Color has a lot to do with whether people opt to do business with you.
Choosing the right colors for your brochures, sales pieces, labels tasting room, etc., is key to the number of sales you make and the effect you, your business, and your products have on your customers.
When you are thinking about selling, think about the colors that help you to promote the sales of your products.
Think of the word SALE. When you see the word sale in a store or in an advertisement, most of the time the word itself is always shown in red. That is because red draws people’s attention. Many buyers are prompted to visit your tasting room and buy your wines because of the color of the bottle, the wine in the bottle, or the colors of the label.
Choose colors that will stand out. For example, when you go into a wine store, look at the wines that are in the store and the colors of their bottles and labels. Discover which of the wines in the store are the best sellers and think about why. Of course, there are many reasons why people buy, but the look of the products has to appeal to potential customers:
- Is there a similarity in the colors they use in their bottles or label?
- Is there a similarity in bottle shape and color or the label shape and color?
- Does the font match the feel the colors present?
How does your label compare to others? Ask some of your customers what they think of when they see your label.
The colors you choose help the characteristics of your wine. Certain colors stir certain emotions.
Next week the psychology of colors.
