A Look into the Pairing of Quady Wines and GTREE™ Stock
The old adage, “work smarter, not harder,” was the key motivator when Quady Winery contacted G3 Label Division. Quady Winery has developed a passionate following for its Electra family of wines made in the Moscato d’Asti style. The wines are lightly effervescent with a touch of sweetness and complex aromas of tropical fruit flavors.
Quady’s wines are unique in that they are bottled at very cold temperatures in a wet bottling room. This process creates moisture issues as condensation builds under the label almost immediately after it is applied creating a challenge for the fast-growing winery. In the past, the condensation often meant peeling off labels that did not apply correctly to the bottle or waiting for the wine to reach room temperature to then re-apply the label. Given the continued growth of Quady Winery, these approaches were no longer feasible.
When the winery turned to G3 Label Division in finding a new solution, the answer was simple: G3’s 100% PCW GTREE™ paper stock. GTREE™ is made from a proprietary label paper produced entirely from recycled office waste. For Quady, GTREE™ provided the right combination of adhesive and moisture barrier eliminating any need to re-label. Now, both bottling and labeling can be done on the wet bottling line at one time improving the Winery’s operational efficiencies and cost savings.

“We deal with somewhat unique bottling conditions at Quady Winery…Electra’s label is known for its bright, artistic and playful style, which is reproduced by the GTree stock perfectly. After working with G3 for a new solution, and being given the ideal package of adhesive, moisture barrier and GTree stock, all of these issues are now in the past! We’ve saved a tremendous amount of time and money from this switch. Lastly, our wines are often enjoyed chilled and at times, on ice. It’s incredibly important to us that our labels stay intact and undamaged through the entire enjoyment experience. We’re extremely pleased to say that GTree gave us just that.”
