   SPEAKERS & TOPICS INCLUDE:

Energy Shift for the Wine Industry

  • Dan Roberts, Head of Sales, VECKTA
  • Jeremy Richmond, EV Charging Infrastructure Developer
  • Patrick Baker, Director of Business Development, VECKTA

Reduce and control energy costs by recognizing the value and incentives offered by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), including applicable additional income tax credits (ITC) as they pertain specifically to the wine industry. We’ll review actual winery scenarios and also discuss how ITC’s can be utilized against tax bills over 20 years, and/or bought and sold for additional winery revenue, as well as grants, financing promotions, and other programs.

Building Resiliency

  • Craig Macmillan, Critical Resources Manager, Niner Wine Estates
  • Chris Terrell, Co-Founder, Wexus Technologies, Inc.
  • Greg Gonzalez, Vineyards, Coastal Vineyard Care Associates
  • Patrick Baker, Director of Business Development, VECKTA

Constant power from the grid isn’t a certainty and continuing to devolve with aging infrastructure and Safety Power Shutdowns, so building resiliency for continual winery and field operations – especially during harvest – are now consumer responsibilities. This includes spring boarding previous solar-only investments into full-scale reliable production/store/use/sell onsite energy systems.

Leveraging Energy Sustainability

  • Allison Morales, Director of Marketing, Gallo Luxury Business Unit
  • Caine Thompson, Managing Director & Head of Sustainability, O’Neill Vintners & Distillers
  • Ian Consoli, Marketing Director, Tablas Creek Vineyard
  • Patrick Baker, Director of Business Development, VECKTA

Understand how your efforts to save money and be resilient also make you more marketable, especially as consumers, retailers and the general public demand verifiable proof of sustainability, including and beyond farming, focusing on Scope 3 emissions, who cares, and how understanding your energy production and use leverages your brand and expands your market presence.
